Control Two Devices With One Switch

The Sip and Puff Switch allows people with disabilities to control two devices with one switch. Sip on the tube to trigger one device, then puff to activate the other. This switch is perfect for those who cannot use activation switches that require touch.

This switch has several important features, including:

  • Flexible gooseneck: This switch is mounted on a 19-inch gooseneck so the user can comfortably reach the straw.
  • Three-way clamp: The three-way mounting clamp lets you secure the switch on a table, wheelchair, bedrail or anywhere you need it.
  • No batteries: The Sip and Puff switch does not need batteries to run.
  • Easy to clean: You can wipe the switch clean with any disinfectant, nonabrasive cleaner or multipurpose cleaner.

To set up the switch, simply clamp it, adjust the gooseneck to the correct position and attach the straw. Use the cords to connect the switch to the devices. Then, the user can sip or puff to activate the toy or device.

    Answer:Β  Alone no, computer manufactures do not make accommodations for switch access. You would need something called a switch interface like our item #4044 Interactive Mouse for PC:Β  This can only do the LEFT Mouse click. If you need both LEFT & Right Click you would need our #1165 Computer Mouse Interface :

    No we would not recommend this. Especially with Covid-19. One switch for one person only.Β  No sharing.

    A For the filters: It depends on the user. How often they are using the switch. When the switch gets harder to use or stops working it's time to change out the filter. If not between 3 to 6 months for light use. For the straws: Straws can be sanitized in a dishwasher. It all depends on how often the switch is used. The straw should be cleaned daily and changed out when the straw shows signs of wear.

    A All the special switches like this we make are for use with specially made or adapted devices to accept switches. They will not work with any off the shelf items you would buy in a dept. or music store. Mainstream manufactures make zero accommodations for the special needs population.

    A The Sip and Puff uses an industry standard 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) Mono phone plug. It looks like the end plug of a set of headphones but mono not a stereo plug.
