ADL Assistance Devices
These ADL products help people with disabilities participate in everyday activities. They teach the user how to do things like garden, cook and craft in a way that works for their abilities. Some of our ADL devices include:
- Adapted Battery-Operated Scissors to help students with mobility limitations cut paper.
- Adapted Garden Spray with a tank, wand and nozzle for spraying mist or streams of water.
- Foot Massager to relax sore muscles in the user’s toes, arch and heel.
- Pouring Cups for Adapted Cooking that pour liquids after activating the switch.
Appliance Control Units
Our appliance control units make everyday appliances accessible, so anyone can use the tools in a way that works for them. One of these products is the 1-Switch Single-Appliance Unit, which turns appliances on and off and creates momentary activation.
Hand Therapy Accessories
Our hand therapy devices help people with limited fine motor skills practice activities that require those skills. For example, the Weighted Handwriting Glove compresses the hand to deliver proprioceptive input, so students can use their hand and strengthen hand and finger muscles.
Handwriting Tools
Our handwriting tools help students write by making the process more ergonomic and comfortable. One of these products is the LED Light Box, which aids with practicing writing skills as well as identifying objects, increasing visual attention and encouraging interaction.
Pagers, Call Bells and Buzzers
Buzzer and pager devices allow individuals to send an alert or receive an alert from someone else. For example, the Attendant Call Chime is a switch-adapted device that sends an alert up to 1,000 feet away. Those with disabilities can let someone else know that they need help and receive vibro-tactile feedback. We have pagers, call bells and buzzers for people with and without hearing impairment.
Timers and Schedulers
Some people with disabilities need help tracking the passage of time and understanding schedules. Our timers and schedulers help users manage time, improve time awareness, complete timed testing or prepare for transitions.
One of these products is the Time Timer With Sound, a timer you can place on a table or hang on a wall to provide a visual representation of time. Students can understand how much time has passed and how much time is left. An alarm sounds when the clock reaches a specific time.
