No adapted therapeutic device should be left with a child unsupervised. Most adapted toys are used with a therapist working with the child.A However, every time you use the toy the rubber band comes off. Then a child could eat it, get it wrapped around a finger, etc. No it is not safe and this product either needs to be fix or discontinues. Surely there is another way that this toy could be adapted differently. Even if the parent or therapist is sitting right there watching the child they could still be injured by this toy.
