A The Boom Box is permanently mounted to the Control Center Base. So yes it comes with it. Everyone’s a DJ with this adapted device that makes controlling the boom box possible for users with visual impairment, blindness and limited mobility! It’s furnished with seven easy to locate 2½” switches that control power, volume, forward and backward, play, pause and stop functions. All seven switches work for the CD function. On/off and volume control buttons work for the radio and tape functions. Forward and backward buttons work with the radio if you program preset radio stations. Center also has a jack for your headphones or ear buds.
  10. Q Why cant AC cord work with this item. My son has his radio on all night. We would go through a lot of batteries
Asked by Anonymous user on December 27, 2017 1:36 pm
A Keep in mind this is an adapted item. The AC power option from the OEM manufacture of the Boom Box uses an internal AC power adapter and not an external which would be safe. With the internal adapter you have 120 Volts AC power going into the boom box and not 9 volts DC like an external power adapter. If the Boom Box got wet and a user was touching one of the buttons they could get a very bad shock. We have eliminated this risk by disabling the AC power feature due to this. If you want an AC powered Boom Box that is safe look at our #3423
