A There is no built in music, only nature sounds. The Star Projector has a line input so you can use it as a speaker for an MP3 Player, iPod, Smart Phone or Tablet. The switch has no effect on your external plugged in device. So the music will keep playing on your device regardless if you turn the Star Projector ON/OFF.
