    Yes the mounting tray will work with and without a case.  We made it to fit with a case up to the size of the OtterBox Defender series case.

    A Without knowing which model, size and year fire tablet you are asking about we cant answer this question. Please call us with this information at 1-800-832-8697. Please keep in mind this mount was made specifically for the 12.9 inch iPad Pro to accommodate all its ports, although this may hold other tablets it may not be a perfect fit.

    A It will fit but with a lot of space around all sides and as noted in the description it does state: Fits iPad Pro 12.9 inch display. Our mount for the standard iPad will not fit the Pro Mini since Apple changed the size from 9.7 to 10.5. We may have a new mount just for the Pro Mini down the road.
